A ghost in the snow

Filmed in the French Alps in the dead of night, at -25 degrees celcius by filmmaker Jacob Sutton, snowboarder William Hughes cuts a ghostly figure through the darkness with the only source of light coming from the custom built LED suit he is wearing.

I was really drawn to the idea of a lone character made of light surfing through darkness. I’ve always been excited by unusual ways of lighting things, so it seemed like an exciting idea to make the subject of the film the only light source,” said Sutton.

Shot on a RED Epic camera ($58k) the footage is amazing, stunning, mesmerising….

Guide to Facebook Timeline

As you’re probably aware, the new Facebook profile ‘timeline’ is currently available worldwide and will be applied to all user profiles, including pages, on March 30th. We are quite fond of the changes - Here’s a simple guide to help you jump aboard.

The new layout boasts three new features; cover, stories and apps, we’ve provided a brief overview of each below:

Cover
Your cover photo is a wide open header, which allows you to upload an image that best represents your brand. You can maximise the effect by featuring your promotions, campaigns or an image that best speaks to the essence of your brand.

Stories
Stories allow you to share and foreground your most important brand milestones, updates and events, allowing you to pick and choose the content that is visible to your fans. Additionally you can use the ‘star’ function to emphasize your top stories and then place them strategically throughout your timeline. Check out Cokes timeline (http://www.facebook.com/cocacola) which spans back to the 1800’s.

Apps
Facebook apps are still available, only now they’re front and centre at the top of your page. The apps space allows you to promote different areas of your business and provides a level of interactivity for your fans. Create video, career, gaming, event apps and more, plus prompt greater engagement levels from your fans through customised thumbnail images.

CARBON is back for it's second year, kicking off at BMW Edge at Federation Square, Melbourne on 28 - 29 April. 

Australia’s premier contemporary, creative-culture event, CARBON is back! Now in its second year, CARBON celebrates and explores style, design and street culture via a series of forums and side-shows.

The main forum event, which takes place at the BMW Edge Theatre at Federation Square, has seen us scour the globe for some of the most unique and authentic voices and minds in contemporary creative-culture. The forums are the defining element of CARBON. More than just the transfer of knowledge, this series of talks also offers a platform for discussion and audience participation. Add to this a range of exciting side-events and exhibitions and you have a festival of creativity and thought that is not to be missed.

GOLD COAST SUNS // SEASON GUIDE

We've recently completed the Gold Coast SUNS - 2012 Season Guide. The 44pg magazine / booklet is a preview of the upcoming 2012 AFL season, showcasing a range of editorial features and articles along with a full series of player profiles. The guide is exclusive to members only and as such, aims to provide them with that inner-sanctum experience and content not availble elsewhere. With the imagery playing a large part in achieving this, the player profiles were shot in a casual / fun style providing a glimpse into the player's off field personalities. The casual / fun approach carries through to the CEO's message featuring a great shot of CEO Travis Auld, holding court at his desk, centrefield on the turf at Metricon Stadium.

The 2012 school year is well and truly underway and with it brings the second year of the Gold Coast SUNS' 'Shine' program. The program is a SUNS' initiative promoting healthy and active lifestyle amongst schoolchildren in south-east QLD. TUSK are proud to again have worked closely with the club on the development of this year's program booklet.
