Undress Brisbane is back in October 2012, and will showcase Queensland's fastest emerging sustainable fashion in an aptly themed concrete-carpark-show. The 2011 Undress Brisbane show saw over 400 guests from all over the state flock to Wilson Car Park in Fortitude Valley for an evening of sustainable fashion shows, themed cocktails and entertainment.

Event Coordinator, Edda Hamar, says that guests can expect to see a bigger event this year featuring a wider range of designers, a new set of faces on the runway and much more.

Piquing our interest is the 360 degree theming of the event, not only will the event increase awareness of sustainable fashions, but will also repurpose a Brisbane car park for the event, with Edda explaining;

“It’s not easy transforming a piece of concrete jungle into something glamorous, but we’re hoping to do some really cool things with the space that will take people away from the car park and into a fashion-forward, urban setting – complete with a recycled wooden runway!”

To secure your spot and support sustainable practices, see details below:

When: October 13, 2012 on the 4th floor of Wilson Car Park in Fortitude Valley.

Market Day

Out and about on a breezy Sunday at The Village Markets. Even though some of the stall holders packed up shop due to the gale force winds, I managed to nail down a hot pink vintage skirt before all of the stalls were gone with the wind.

Pay a visit to The VIllage Markets in April, you can catch them on the first Sunday of the month.

INFLUENCERS TRAILER from R+I creative on Vimeo.

INFLUENCERS is a documentary which explores why different trends and creativity become popular in society, and the people who are behind driving these ideas forward. The facebook site is also cool with regular updates relating to the influencers concept.

Fashion Forward Workwear

I was just sifting through some pictures of fashion forward people on the Swagger 360 blog. I particularly like these pictures of ladies and gentlemen in their workwear. Obviously, the creativity doesn't just extend to private time and I'm sure these examples and other people alike, would be a source of fascination and interest in the workplace.
